Sharon A. Merritt, 74, of Kankakee passed away at her son’s home in Oswego on May 26, 2020. She was born on August 1, 1945 in Amboy, Illinois to Delbert and Eileen (Songer) Haws. Sharon was a homemaker, was her son's show choir president and enjoyed gardening. Sharon is survived by her sons, Michael Merritt of St. Anne and Terry (August) Ziemann of Oswego, her sister, Sue (Austin) Vining of Essex, one nephew, Austin Vining Jr. of Diamond, and three nieces, Stacy Bryle of Essex, Andrea Vining of Coal City and Amanda Vining of Essex and one grand dog.
