Judith A. Phillips, 81, of Bourbonnais passed away September 15, 2019 at Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home. She was born February 3, 1938 in Bradley to Glenwood A. Martin Sr. and Mary Lou (Kohan) Johnson. Judith married Norman F. Phillips. Judith worked in sales at Carson Pirie Scott and retired from there. She enjoyed bowling, baking, cooking and golfing. And most of all Judith loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Norman F. Phillips of Chebanse, 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law; Derek Phillips and Lee Anne Skeen of Kankakee, David (JoAnn) Phillips of Chester, South Carolina, Scott (Nona) Phillips of Bourbonnais and a daughter and son-in-law; Darla (Jack) Casey of Manteno and 8 grandchildren; Brock (Sara) Casey, Brandon (Lindy) Casey, Garret Phillips, Brianna Phillips, Mitchell Phillips, Erin Phillips, Alec Phillips and Cole Phillips, and 3 great grandchildren; Payton Casey, Piper Casey and Sevin Casey. Also surviving are 2 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law; Glenwood “Buck” Martin Jr. of Herscher, Mark (Sue) Johnson of DeKalb, Sherry Johnson of Bradley, and Nancy Wheeler of Herscher. Judith was preceded in death by her parents, step father, Walter Johnson, a sister, Sherry Faille, 2 brothers; Kim and Scott Johnson and a daughter-in-law, Lora Phillips. A memorial visitation will be 10am to 11 am Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Schreffler Funeral Home, Kankakee Chapel. The memorial service will follow at 11am. Rev. Emily Sauer will officiate Inurnment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais, IL. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
