Randal Lyle Bisaillon

Randal Lyle Bisaillon, age 76 of Herscher, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth. He was born October 3, 1947 in Kankakee, the son of Leo and Opal Horn Bisaillon. Randy married Linda Nowack on May 28, 1967. She survives. Randy was the owner and operator of Bisaillon Excavating Inc. for over 40 years. He also was a lifelong farmer. Some of Randy’s construction highlights include Park Place Subdivision, High Point Estates & Golf Course, Kmart Distribution Center, and numerous buildings and subdivisions throughout Kankakee, Will, and Iroquois counties. Randy was a great entrepreneur, owning a range of different businesses from a stone quarry to a golf course to an ice cream shop to subdivisions and more. Randy was an Army Veteran of Vietnam serving from 1967 to 1969. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Herscher. Surviving are two sons Chris (Jen) Bisaillon of Wheaton and Craig (Darthy) Bisaillon of Herscher and one daughter Lisa (Kory) Scanlon of Herscher. Randy is also survived by many grandchildren including Ashley, Carter, Brock, Kayla, Reese, Kiley, Addison, Olivia, Randy, Knox, and Bristol. Brothers surviving include Gary (Barb) Bisaillon and Tom (Jacie) Bisaillon and sisters include Diane (Mike) Dismang, Patti Guenette and Lori (Doug) Mau. Brother-in-law Doug Nowack also survives. In addition to these family members Randy’s also survived by many dedicated employees and friends over the years. Randy is preceded in death by his parents and brother Paul and Jack. Visitation will be held from 9:00-12:00 until the time of the funeral at Trinity Lutheran Church in Herscher on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Burial will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Church cemetery. Pastor Eric Brown will officiate the ceremony. Randy was the Grand Marshall of the Herscher Labor Day Parade in 2015. Randy was an amazing dad and grandfather, never missing a game or event his children and grandchildren were in. He was not only a boss, but also was quite frequently found working tirelessly right alongside his employees. His rock solid dedication and leadership made him a favorite boss to many. Randy will be greatly missed by all. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family. Arrangements are by Schreffler Funeral Homes, Kankakee.
